Guild Rules
Mission Statement
In the guilds Sisters of War, Brothers of War
and Kidz of War, the main objective is to provide guild members with avenues
to enhance their understanding and appreciation of the content of the game; to
enrich the members’ playing experience; and create a climate of mutual support
and trust that allows its members to progress further than they could alone.
In this atmosphere, it is hoped that contributions of the members of the
guild result in the betterment of the individual players, and the strengthening
of the guild to expand its presence and mastery into as much of the content of
this game as possible, to provide greater value and accomplishment.
To
this end, we hope that its members actively participate and take positions of
responsibility and trust within the guild structure, to volunteer their
knowledge and time as needed and when possible. Such participation will achieve
the goals set forth, and serve to create relationships among its members, to the
advancement and enjoyment of all.
Welcome to Sisters of War!
We have only a few simple rules
(most of which are mere reinforcements of Blizzard rules) that we ask all our
members and applications to read and live by. Also listed below are our ranks.
To earn rank within Sisters of War, you must show loyalty to the guild (based on
time served) and ability as a player and person.
RULES 1. You MUST be a female
character...no if's and's or MALE butts! This does NOT mean that YOU, the player
of the character must be female.
If you like the Sisters of War concept,
but have a male character that would like to join our family - continue on and
ask in-game if you can get an invite to The Brothers of War.
2. Guild
chat should be kept to a G level! Some of us have children that play! Swearing
in guild chat will earn you a warning the first time and a strike -- keep
getting strikes and you earn a boot from the guild.
3. No Harrassing,
verbal or physical, of other players.
4. No KILL STEALING, or NINJA
LOOTING.
5. No begging for money or nagging of higher lvls to 'run you
through' instances! Our "Guild Culture" is one of helpfulness and support of
each other. We love to do things together and help each other out.
WE HAVE A THREE STRIKES RULE,
IMPLEMENTED AS OF JANUARY 1, 2007. SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS.
THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS
ARE STRIKES:
GUILD CHAT
ABUSE
1. SWEARING IN GUILD CHAT OR FOW OR AFFILIATION CHAT. (if in doubt
as to what constitutes a swear, don't say it! Including religious references)
THE ONLY WORD ALLOWED IS "HELL" AND THEN ONLY IN REFERENCE TO THE
GAME.
THIS GOES FOR RAIDS AS
WELL (OVER 10 PEOPLE, OR MEMBERS YOU'RE NOT FAMILIAR WITH)
PARTY CHAT IS OPEN TO WHAT THE MEMBERS AGREE UPON AS
APPROPRIATE. IF OFFENDED OR OFFENDING OTHERS, RESPECT EACH OTHERS' WISHES OR
EXCUSE YOURSELF FROM THE PARTY.
2. TALKING
POLITICS AND RELIGION IN GUILD CHAT. To some, numbers 1 and 2 are
interchangeable.
2. BEGGING FOR MONEY, ITEMS OR RUNS. Asking is one
thing, but harping over and over in guild chat is begging. This includes selling
things in guild chat. Giving something to a guildee is just fine; selling for
money is the same as begging for money.
If asking for a
run/item/help, once per 15 minutes (4 per hour) is the acceptable limit.
Otherwise, whisper appropriate-leveled members who are online.
3. SPAMMING NON-GUILD
BUSINESS IN GUILD CHAT. Spamming promotions and calendar events is good to let
people know, spamming your mother's birthday or some goofy saying is most
certainly NOT.
4. FLAMING OTHERS IN GUILD CHAT. No insulting, no
bashing, no ripping, clubbing, flaming, belittling, abusing, disrespecting, or
any of that. If you think that that's fun, this guild is not for you anyway.
5. TYPING IN ALL CAPS CONSTANTLY IN GUILD CHAT. Sometimes, all caps is
good to put the correct EMPHASIS on what point you're trying to get ACROSS. But
used all the time, it's annoying and denotes that you're constantly shouting,
and will not be tolerated.
_____
ON A RUN
1. LISTEN TO YOUR GROUP LEADER If someone is trying to run an
instance or raid, and you don't listen and get them in trouble, guess who's to
blame? If you don't want to listen to your group leader, then don't go on the
run. Don't pull unless asked. Know your aggro radius, ESPECIALLY if you are
under-leveled for the run. Don't run ahead of the party looking for a fight. All
of this can easily spell disaster for a party, and will shorten your time in the
guild. People talk and this is a small town.
2. FOLLOW THE LOOT
RULES. You leaders, clearly state the loot rules before running the raid.
OFFICIAL LOOT RULES ARE SHOWN BELOW
Let everyone know about
enchanters DE'ing items and class restrictions for looting on any on the items
that drop.
Others in the group, listen and follow the loot rules. If
you're a Warrior, don't NEED the cloth armor. If you're a priest you couldn't
possibly have use for plate. Use a little common sense here and it goes a long
way. Don't, and word will get around. (Small town, remember?)
_____
Those are the biggest problems that have
come up, and if we have to we'll add more as we go (but I don't want to!)
Again, most of us are cool, this is just here so that no one can claim
there are any surprises.
OFFICIAL GUILD
LOOT RULES
1. BEFORE THE RUN: Group leader goes over these rules, and
finds out if there is an enchanter in the group. If there is, the group leader
states whether DE Option is ON or OFF.
2. ON THE RUN: Two choices:
a. BoE OR NON-EQUIP: NEED* or GREED or PASS.
b. BoP: NEED* or
PASS. If the DE Option is on, DE and roll for shard. If not, roll for loot.
*NEED: Ask BEFORE you NEED anything! No surprises. NEED only if it’s
an upgrade for your current toon (or profession for non-equips.) CLASS
RESTRICTIONS APPLY ON ALL NEED ROLLS. Class Restrictions mean that a Warrior
CANNOT NEED cloth armor with a healing bonus. Like that.
